Personalisation

We use many different processes and techniques to personalise your gift. Each gift shows you the options available for the personalisation of that gift.

We wanted to explain what the process is for each of our techniques.

Engraving Glass

When we laser engrave glass, it produces a frosting effect on the glass or crystal product. With round glasses, we use a rotary attachment, which allows the glass to be laser engraved around the whole circumference of the glass if required

Engraving Wood

We can laser engrave wood, and we can laser cut thin wood. Wood will laser engrave very easily, and the results depend on the grain of the wood, the design used, and the settings used when programming the laser, before laser engraving.

Engraving Plastic

Laser cutting of this material is quick and it cuts like a knife. This process can be extremely hot, so I tend to laser cut the plastic with the protective sheet on the top of the plastic, to avoid smoky marks on the front of the sign When your laser engraving the material, it engraves the top layer of colour off when you use 2 ply plastic.

Sublimation

We use a sublimation printer, to bring coloured illustrations, photos or graphics to life. When it is printed onto the right sublimation, for the product, we use either a heat press or a mug press, to impregnate the sublimation ink, onto the product.

  • Vinyl
    • Vinyl is a very versatile product, and it can be used on many materials, dependent on the vinyl used. It is cut to the design, created on the design space. You then weed out the material you don’t need, and transfer the design to the product, using different methods
    • Iron-on Vinyl, is used to create designs on products such as t-shirts, aprons bags etc.
    • Removable Vinyl is used when you need a sign or design temporarily, for example on a window, and you need to move it later.
    • Permanent Vinyl is used for permanent signs or designs, for example, outdoor display signs
  • Card Stock
    • There are many different weights of card stock available. We use heavyweight card stock so that our products are well made.
    • Pearl Single-Sided Card is great when doing the cut-out cards, as it is white on the other side of the pearl finish. This creates a contrast, where the design has been cut out.
    • Solid Colour Card is brilliant if you want a double-sided design. It’s a very vibrant and solid colour on both sides.
    • When making our cards we either cut the design out of the card and score it for folding. (These are cut to any size) The card we don’t want we weed it out of the design, to reveal the design.
    • On the Pearl Single-Sided Card, we will just fold it correctly and then it is ready to be placed with the envelope and cellophane bag, for despatch. Unless there is any personalisation, which we will do when creating the design.
    • With the Solid Colour Card, we will follow the above steps, but we may include an extra card, to contrast the design, against the Solid Colour Card
    • Pre-Cut Card Stock, we tend to use for attaching a delicate design, made in vinyl. Vinyl is usually a glossy finish and is sticky on 1 side, and perfect for this use. We use contrasting vinyl for this.
  • Mugs
    • We use blank mugs, with a special coating on them, which are specific for the task.
    • Sublimation is 1 technique we use, where a design is attached to the mug, and it is put in the mug press, to heat up the design and product. When it comes out, the design has transferred to the mug.
    • Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets and Infusible Pens is another technique we use. We create the design onto the infusible Ink Transfer Sheets (they come in different colours and patterns) Any writing or design can be made onto the Transfer Sheets using the Infusible Pens. The transfer sheets are then attached to the mug, and it is put in the mug press, as above
